I've definitely never said that before.

Holy Crap! Last night, Carl Pope, executive director for the Sierra Club appeared on the Colbert Report's "Better Know a Lobby" series (Part 4 of a 35,000 part series). During a wide-ranging interview, he suggested Northeast Louisiana would be a better place to drill than ANWAR. (Go right to the 5 minute mark of the video.) Technically, it's northWEST Louisiana, but he's absolutely right! And that's my project! As an employee of an oil & gas company, it's refreshing to hear the environmentalists (I am one of them) recognizing the advantages of drilling for natural gas domestically.

My work has never before reached pop-culture status. I am so proud of myself.

If I don't get an answer there, I'm going straight to my congressperson. I'm still hoping to be selected to have dinner with Barack Obama soon, and I will surely bring up the CRITICAL DING DONG SHORTAGE with the presidential hopeful.
